The energy management program enables Dakota Valley Electric to control electric load during peak periods of demand. Members who sign up for off-peak programs allow Dakota Valley computers to switch off, or “control” their power, during busy, or “peak” periods of use when consumption—and cost of electricity—is high. In exchange for this ability to switch off your power, Dakota Valley gives participating members hefty discounts on off-peak rates. Members can save up to 2/3 the cost of a kilowatt hour on our off-peak programs.
